Moksha is the point of ALL of Religion ? 3

Oh, this video is an excerpt taken from one of Swami Sarvapriyananda’s longer talks (here) in which he uses the Analogy of the Washerman’s Donkey as an explanation for what ALL of Religion is really about ! Now, naturally it comes from the Advaita Vendanta perspective but I’d suggest that you could also consider it from the POV of other Dharmic Religions … inasmuch that it is pointing out how there is only the Absolute but that “it” is apparently just “covered over” or “disguised” or “hidden” which thus seems to give rise to so-called “Seekers” who embark on a Spiritual Journey eh ? 🤔

Indeed, I’d say that the very activity of “seeking” is itself (potentially) reinforcing the illusion of the “one” that desires Freedom eh ? 😉

And perhaps in the spirit of Zen Koans, may “I” suggest that “you” contemplate this : How does one neither Practice nor not-Practice ? 🙂

Ah, with regards to the above :

contemplate this : How does one neither Practice nor not-Practice ? 🙂

I want to clarify that it wasn’t meant intellectually (i.e. to provoke thoughts about the seeming paradox) but rather in an experiential sense, from a more introspective position, where such “Koans” (to use the term loosely) can potentially “trigger” a sudden shift (with any luck), into an “experience” of the Nature-Of-Mind, where there is an unexpected Absence of the “you” as the one who is contemplating this !!! 😉

Ah, “you” are not the Mind (with experiential “proof”) eh ?

Experience the Truth (Non-Dual Awareness) of Ashtavakra Gita by Experiments 😉

Oh, if you’re interested in such things as “Liberation” here’s a couple of related videos I’d say are congruent with this theme :

Adyashanti – The Experience of No Self

Tony Parsons – No Self, No Progression

Now it may seem nonsensical but nevertheless this doesn’t mean that it isn’t “Real” eh ? 😉
